Westport Farmers Market & Craft Fair Opening July 5

 

The Westport Farmers Market & Craft Fair will open Saturday, July 5 at 8:30 a.m. for its second season. Located in Central Village at the Westport Grange, 931 Main Road, the season runs every Saturday from July 5 through October 11.  Hours of operation are 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM. The market is open rain or shine.  All items are grown or made locally.

Produce: All locally grown (in season)
The outside market brings together local farmers crops featuring the freshest produce available in season:  lettuce, beets, shallots, blueberries, peaches, melons, radishes, sweet corn, apples,  onions, tomatoes, peppers, squash, carrots, beans, peas, garlic, etc. Also available:  container gardens, cut flowers, eggs, vinegars, herbs, pickles, pies, muffins, pumpkins, gourds of all kinds, ETC.

 

Artisans & Crafters: All made locally
Inside features locally made:  watercolors, baskets, photographs, woven goods, jewelry, pottery, botanical designs, bird houses, quilted items, herbal soaps and lotions, wooden garden tools, tool holders, composting bins, alpaca yarns, handmade paper goods, stained glass items, topiaries, ETC.

 

  

 

And the Grange Cafe, an indoor place (with AC) to sit and relax over coffee, a newspaper and a home made munchie. We always have coffee and other beverages with an ever changing variety of baked goods to choose from.

 

The Westport Cultural Council administering the Helen H. Ellis Trust, granted funds to prepare the stage for exhibits. The Westport Art Group has generously and permanently loaned a set of display boards. We still have a few spaces open for artists - call (508) 636-4427 for details.

Farmer’s Market announces schedule of participating vendors.

The artisians, for the most part, do not come every week. There's always someone new.
