And the Grange Cafe, an indoor place (with AC) to sit and relax over coffee, a newspaper and a home made munchie. We always have coffee and other beverages with an ever changing variety of baked goods to choose from.

The Westport Cultural Council administering the Helen H. Ellis Trust, granted funds to prepare the stage for exhibits. The Westport Art Group has generously and permanently loaned a set of display boards. We still have a few spaces open for artists - call (508) 636-4427 for details.

Stay tuned for developing details on our special events such as raffles, visits by friendly alpacas, music and more. We still have a few vendor spaces left - call (508) 636-4427 for details.

"Tables are still available for produce vendors and artisans," said Beth Easterly, program director.

t5.jpg“The Westport Farmers Market & Craft Fair opens its third season this Saturday, July 11 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at 931 Main Road in Westport. The market is held at the historic Westport Grange #181 with vendors both outside and inside. The 12 week season goes through September 26 and is open Saturdays rain or shine. Parking is available 2 doors down at St. John the Baptist Church. Call (508) 636-4427 for information.”

“Westport Farmers Market & Craft Fair is a Class A market. That means that all items for sale have been grown or made by the vendors. Buyers enjoy the freshest produce, usually picked that morning, and talking with vendors about items. For instance, growers can suggest which peach variety is best for pies and which ones store well.”

“A new vendor this year is Pamela Carey who will be selling her book, Minor League Mom:  A Mother’s Journey through the Red Sox Farm Teams. Sounds like perfect summer reading for Red Sox Nation. Another new vendor is Baby Cow Clothing featuring 100% organic cotton baby clothes.”

“The market features locally grown seasonal produce: lettuce, potatoes, shallots, beets, blueberries, strawberries, radishes, sweet corn, carrots, peppers, peas, garlic, melons, Brussels sprouts, onions, etc.”

“Also featured: cut flowers, hanging baskets, container gardens, herbs, pickles, herbal body potions, sheep skins, jellies, eggs, breads, muffins, pies, and vinegars, etc.”

“The artisans and crafters are the best the area has to offer. Our roster of artisans changes weekly so there’s always something new to discover:     baskets, pottery, watercolors, beach glass jewelry, quilts, photographs, woven goods, botanical designs, organic cotton baby clothes, painted mail boxes and pails, gourd designs,  handmade books, stationary, etc.”

“Take a break at the Grange Cafe and sit for a while with coffee and a fresh baked munchie.”
