Westport’s “retired older men eating out” gather at White’s of Westport to talk politics and like to put candidates’ feet to the fire. They are never at a loss for an opinion.

Earl Sholley, running for Barney Frank’s senate seat, was a speaker last month at a ROMEOs’ lunch.

Westport selectman Paul Schmid, candidate for the eighth Bristol District seat being vacated by current state representative Mike Rodrigues, will be the ROMEOs’ guest this week. Schmidt, who as a Westport producer of grass-fed Black Angus beef can throw the bull with the best of them, will give the ROMEOs a run for their money! More.
