GTCC which spells GREAT! Greater Tiverton Community Chorus donated concert proceeds
to aid the missions of Westport River Watershed Alliance and the Nature

GTCC which spells GREAT! The Greater
Tiverton Community Chorus celebrated a most successful spring season with
their Water Music Concerts, a benefit series performed to support the Westport
River Watershed Alliance and The Nature Conservancy of Rhode Island in their
work for water conservation in southern New England. The chorus performed
three April concerts in Tiverton, Portsmouth and Westport. Above: Buzz Brownlee (center, right) presents checks

26th, outgoing chorus president Buzz Brownlee presented checks splitting
$14,566.95 to John Berg, Sakonnet Landscape Manager, The Nature Conservancy
of Rhode Island; Curt Freese, interim executive,
Westport River Watershed Alliance; and Tom Schmitt, president of WRWA. In thanking the
chorus, Berg and Pam Pomfret, Rhode Island Campaign
director at The Nature Conservancy in Rhode Island said, "Because of
you, we can protect special places like the freshwater wetland at Dundery Brook trail, the hillsides above Fogland Marsh at Ferolbink
Farm, forested freshwater streams in the Quicksand Pond Watershed, the source
of the West Branch at Tiverton Great Swamp, and our 2,000-acre coastal forest
overlooking the Sakonnet in Tiverton." "Because of you, we can
protect special places like the freshwater wetland at Dundery
Brook trail.” - Berg and Pam Pomfret, Rhode Island
Campaign director at The Nature Conservancy. The Greater
Tiverton Community Chorus is made up of 80 individuals from Greater Tiverton.
