Your 2017 Gardens
Join us for a series of
horticultural workshops and garden planning sessions to start your 2017 off on
the right foot in the garden.
Thursdays through March
9th 10 am- 12 Noon; Members: Free; Nonmembers: $5.
Build a
Mini-Greenhouse
Do you have limited
space in your garden? Are you looking to start earlier, but don’t have access
to winter growing space? No problem, we have a solution- build your own
mini-greenhouse. This workshop will talk
you through mini-greenhouse construction and maintenance

Get
Your Veggie Garden Started: Seed Starts
Join Kristin McCullin,
Haskell’s Horticulturist to discuss the design and layout of your 2017
vegetable and cut flower garden. We will discuss crop rotation, soil, new
varieties, and seed sowing in the poly greenhouse!
Thursday’s March 9th and April 13th ; 10AM – 12 Noon; Members:

This group meets the last Thursday of
the month from April to October

Sale
Find
your favorite perennials, trees and shrubs, and purchase some of Allen’s
signature selections. Colors galore, and horticulturists on hand to help you with your
decisions and answer any questions you may have.

Soil and Compost 101
Join Horticulturist, Nate McCullin for a basic look at your garden soil and compost.
In this workshop Nate will show you how to take and interpret a soil test from
your local agriculture extension school.

Haskell Hosta
Haskell Horticulturist Kristin McCullin will discuss Allen’s favorite Hosta
varieties from his famous 1983 Hosta installation at
the Boston Flower Show. We will also
discuss some new industry favorites to add to your collection!

All Things Hydrangea
Ever wonder when to
prune your Hydrangeas for maximum blooms? Ever question the pH of your soil for
bloom color? Are you interested in learning the new hot cultivars and the tried
and true favorites? Join Horticulturist Nate McCullin
to learn everything Hydrangea!
